Sunday is the new Monday!

I apologize for the lack of posts lately, but I am back from a wonderful vacation with my family and feeling refreshed and excited for a busy week.

I know this may seem odd to some of you but I've recently decided to start my weeks on Sunday instead of Monday and I LOVE it. I use Sunday to organize and plan for the week which has been a game changer for me and really sets me up for success. It also makes waking up at 5 am Monday morning a lot easier since my week has technically already started. One of the things I really enjoy doing on Sundays is to make bone broth.

I am sure most of you have heard about the amazing health benefits of bone broth such as; healing your gut, protecting your joints and reducing joint pain, and it also supports a healthy immune system just to name a few. But did you also know how beneficial bone broth can be for your skin?

The slow cooking process breaks down the bones and connective tissues of the meat. When you drink the bone broth you take in the collagen which is the most abundant protein in our bodies and provides the structure to our skin. Dietary collagen is far more beneficial than collagen creams as they are deliver the collagen right to your cells. You can see why this wonderful comfort food is also one of my best anti-age skin tips.

So if your one of those people who struggle to get out of bed Monday morning and dread going to work, try starting your week on Sundays and include a little meal prep to really set yourself up right. Make some delicious bone broth that you can either drink right out of your favorite mug (my preferred method of collagen intake) or make a delicious soup that you can take in your lunch.

My personal favorite recipe (i've tried many), comes from a book called 'Hangry 5 Simple steps to balance and restore your joy' by Sarah Fragoso and Brooke Kalanick, ND, MS.

Which is a great book that I would highly recommend to anyone who thinks they may have a hormone in-balance but that is a topic for another blog another day.
